Shortly after I joined RB I recruited Ivan to lead and recover a high profile, large scale, global SAP BI financial reporting programme which was originally initiated in 2014. Previously, each of the programme’s software releases had been associated with late delivery, out of control expenditure, continually evolving business requirements and dis-satisfied stakeholders.Ivan very quickly put a plan in place to get the programme back on track. Ivan was instructed to provide an independent project delivery review of one of RB’s most business critical and complex global SAP BI projects. He was asked to investigate in a very tight timescale why our chosen systems integration third party supplier had consistently missed the deadlines for the project software release 1 and also to determine how to set up the project for release 2 success. He very quickly grasped the core delivery issues and made over twenty recommendations for release 2 to proceed at a similar pace, but with lower risk and greater predictability.
